What Payroll Services do we Offer?

We offer a variety of payroll services in order to run and effective payroll, which include:

  • Setting up a Payroll Scheme with HMRC and registering with the Pensions Regulator.
  • Processing the wages data, which could be hours worked, salary basis, include bonuses, etc.
  • Calculating employees holiday pay, Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity/Paternity Pay and Student Loan Deductions
  • Auto-enrolment Pension deductions to be paid to the Pension provider
  • Calculating Redundancy Pay
  • Preparation of the payslips (weekly, monthly, fortnightly, four weekly or ad hoc basis)
  • Correspond with HMRC on your behalf
  • Submit the Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC
  • Completion of the necessary statutory forms required such as P45, P46(car), P60, FPS, EPS etc.
  • Claiming the Employment Allowance where available
  • We either post or e-mail (in an encrypted format) the payslips to you or directly to your employees
  • We can make the payments to your staff and/or HMRC if you provide us with the necessary banking access
  • General advice with regards to payroll related matters

  • Offer other support with regards to taxable benefits and the submission of P11D’s

What is Auto-enrolment?

Employers are required to auto-enrol their employees in to a work based pensions and make the correct deductions.

Since 6 April 2019, the employer minimum contribution is 3% with the staff member contributing 5%.

We are able to assist with complying with the Pensions Regulator and have assisted our clients with setting up a NEST scheme or Peoples Pension scheme.

Which Pension Contribution Type?

For a Defined Contribution Pension there are 2 ways in order to obtain tax relief.

  • Relief at source – this is where the pension is taken out of an individuals net pay, so they need to include it on a Self-Assessment Tax Return to obtain the additional relief
  • Net Pay arrangement – provides a deduction against Gross Pay, meaning that tax relief if given upon deduction.  This benefits higher rate taxpayer but if you are not a taxpayer at all you currently lose out.

It is important to understand, which method the provider operates under to see which fits best for your employees.


Which Pension Contribution Type?

Many employers provider their staff with benefits to help retain their staff and offer larger financial rewards, some of the most common benefits include:

  • Health and/or Dental care
  • Company Cars
  • Gym membership
  • Employee loans over £10k*
  • Living accommodation*

These benefits need to be reported to HMRC.  Traditionally these would be reported via completing a P11D’s & P11D(b), however now all benefits (* except these) can now be included via a process called payrolling.  To do this your business must be registered.
